Inspiration To Start A School Like Bal Prakash

The school was start by Smt Kusum Paliwal, taking inspiration from her mother. Smt Prakash Paliwal

It was during 1970’s when the concept of abolishing child labor was not as prevalent .

It was in those times when Kusum’s mother spoke about children and how they were engaged into child labor and that should be changed.

Her mother felt empathy for children working at farms and streets. She told Kusum that if ever possible do something for these children.

That wish, that thought, remained in Kusum’s sub-conscious for years as she continued her life like any mainstream individual. She was working as a philosophy lecturer in college.

But it was in 1995 when she decided to start this school, to fulfill the wish of her mother.

Kusum’s friends supported her as pillar of strength both mental and financial which helped to set up and sustain the school. The school was supported by mostly teachers. And then several people from society contributed in different ways to run and sustain the school. Even today several visitors and contribute in different ways that helps in smooth running.
